Hello Worlds

Professionally, I'm a Front-End software developer.
So far, I've been in the industry for 6 years.
I've been seriously invested in coding for 11.

My coding interest started early on as a teen when I decided to build a forum using a website builder and discovered the ability to embed Javascript. I learned to make my forum snow during winter, and ever since I've been facinated by programming.

There is no feeling that can quite capture the satisfaction of working on a challenging problem hour after hour, experiencing bugs, false hope and eventually getting everything to line up perfectly.

That feeling is pretty much the reason why I've made coding my career.

In my free time, I am continuously exploring areas of programming which are unknown to me. I've played around with neural networks, computer graphics, data visualisations, physics simulations, procedural art, web dev, native windows applications, and networking to mention a few.

Coding is fun, coding something new even more so.

Javacript canvas API cloth simulation

tech:
Javascript
React
HTML
SCSS
Features:
  • - simulate some simple cloth-like structures
  • - destroy some of the connections to see how the structure is affected
  • - variable simulation resolution

Now here is something I'm really passionate about: simulations. It's fascinating how a few simple equations can build such interesting 'lifelike' behaviors. There's definitely a lot to improve here, the simulation gets quite wobbly when too many segments are added, in the y-axis in particular. The visuals are built via the canvas API. The simulation itself was built in pure javascript, although the algorithms were researched.
